Wascator

A Wascator is a washing machine used in textile laboratories to test fabrics and garments for shrinkage, dimensional stability, colourfastness, and more: 

  • Shrinkage: Determines how much a fabric shrinks after washing 
  • Dimensional stability: Evaluates how well a fabric retains its shape after washing 
  • Colourfastness: Determines how well a fabric retains its colour after washing with detergents or bleach 
  • Appearance: Assesses how a fabric looks after washing 
  • Crease retention: Determines how well a fabric retains its creases after washing 
  • Preparation for other tests: Prepares test samples for abrasion, pilling, and flammability testing
